I’m planning on $50 per person in the bridal party, more for the parents and nothing for servers or soundmen (they are getting paid)!
Jewellery,
restaurant vouchers
Movie vouchers
compact mirrors or hip flasks
pocket watch
spa products
flowers
Go a little further since they’re Marines, unless you yourself are a Marine, then you can go the usual. I got an engraved mug at one point. I myself went to Brookstone and picked different gifts…they were pretty cool and actually useful. I’d say $25 minimum…no more than $50.
You should see about getting each a mag light and seeing if you can get that engraved. I consider myself a man’s man and would like that.
if you look at things remembered, you can find a whole bunch of gifts for attendants that you can have engraved with their name or a special message.
from one wedding, i got a really nice cherry wood photo book with my name on it.
i gave my bridesmaids little survival packs for the wedding day with things like candy, lip gloss, kleenex, etc. i also had jewelry custom made for each of them. in total, i spent about $30 a piece.
the pastor normally sets their fee, but may ask for a donation to the church. depending on your relationship with that person and the amount of work they do (i.e. are they doing pre-marital counseling as well?) you can expect to spend between $200 and $500 for the pastor.
the church i got married in had a set fee for the soundman. since our soundman was a friend, he gave his service as a gift. we got him a gift certificate as a token of thanks for all the work he and his wife did.
This is going to depend entirely on your personal budget. Just bear in mind that you don’t want to go “cheap”; after all, they are doing you the favor of standing up for you in your wedding, paying for their attire, probably being a host for your bridal shower, bachelorette and bachelor parties. We found after buying the gifts for our attendants, (not counting the cost with paying for their airfare and hotel accommodations for our destination wedding), we have spent a bit over $500 per attendant. It’s a big expense, but we wanted them to know just how much they mean to us and to honor them back for being a part of our special day.
a friend of my moms did a basket with really nice hair and beauty products, like special shampoos, nice nail polish, body wash, sleeping eye patches, etc. for the bridesmaids obviously.
