I'm getting married June 20,2009. I'm looking for gifts for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, ring brearer, parents, and for the host. We're getting married at someone's house and I thought we should get them something as a thank you. I don't have a lot of money to spend, any ideas?

please don’t do the usual totes filled with dollar store items, we all have enough of those. we also all have shot glasses, wine glasses, key chains, flasks, etc. we all have enough necklaces and ear-rings and if we don’t buying us a set to wear for your wedding is a bit of a self-serving gift.
give them each something that is special to them. if one of the girls is an avid cook then she might like a good cookbook or a really cool apron! if one is an avid gardener she might like a gift card to her favourite nursery. think of each person’s favourite thing to do and find a gift to go with that idea. they will love you for it!
as for your hostess – wow you are lucky not to have to spend hundreds of dollars on a venue – so how about a good bottle of wine and a gift card to their favourite restaurant?
have a great wedding and a wonderful marriage!
Decorative key rings engraved with the names of the bride and groom and the wedding date would be a nice and classy gift for each of the wedding party members.
When I got married I took one full day to shop with my wife for each member of the wedding party as an individual. The amount of money you spend means nothing. It’s showing each of them that you actually took the time to think about them personally and how much you appreciate them sharing the most important day of your life. Get each person something that they will like or use themselves. Not something as a group. It just not as personal.
You can get the bridesmaids a simple necklace that can be worn for the wedding. The groomsmen, possibly an engraved beer mug. The flower girl and ring bearer…how about a DVD movie. The parents, a picture frame to put a wedding picture into and for the host, a bottle of wine, or a bouquet of flowers or even a gift card to a nice restuarant!
Well, I was going to do a spa day but it will cost too much. I have decided on going to bath and body works (they have a good sale right now for buy 3 get 3 free) and I’m going to get them maybe 3 items a piece and then pay for their pedicure for the wedding. I don’t think you parent’s need anything unless they are paying for it in that case, take them to dinner or a simple thank you card will do. Parent’s don’t expect you to break the bank for a gift. Now for the guys, i can’t help. I have no clue what my fiance is going to do for his guys.
BM – make hairclips or hairpins, buy each a book she will love, get each one a beach towel with her name on it, go for a cookbook for each one of things she loves, whatever fits her personality.
GM – shotglasses from Spencers that are funny, beer mugs, money clips – something that fits their personalities.
FG – a new purse with barrettes, a necklace/bracelet and a small lipgloss in it for the wedding.
RB – a handheld game, a comic book, coloring book, Matchbox cars, action figures, whatever will keep him occupied!
Moms – monogrammed hanky and thank you letter or poem
Dads – special mugs/glasses for the reception (Father of the Bride/Groom), a tie tack or something of that nature.
Host – a gift certificate for a fancy dinner to give him/her a free evening!
Good luck!
A good idea for the maids and flower girl thats very reasonable…
You could go to Old Navy or whatever store and purchase the girls zip-up hoodies in black, white, etc. (a neutral color). Have their names embroidered on the back center toward thwe bottom. Very functional because they can wear these when they’re getting their hair done AND they work with people who don’t know your girls, such as the planner or coordinator, photographer, etc so they get to know the girls’ names. Hope this helps!
plate books clocks
Engraved rings will be a very good gifts for them as a thank you for attending and be part of the most important day in your life, your wedding. They will surely treasure it for jewelries lasts a lifetime.
If you want something classy, go custom made…it does not have to be expensive…

Stay away from jewelry. If you want them to wear it at the wedding, it’s not a gift for them. Get something that fits their individual personalities and interests that they will get use out of.
