Make a bunch of different kinds of candy like chocolate fudge, peppermint bark, peanut brittle, pecan pralines….. Then wrap it all up in one of those clear bags, put it in a basket, and tie a bow at the top, kind of like this one:http://www.marysmemorables.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/Gifts/ChristmasGiftBasketIII.JPG
Here are some recipes for candy:http://www.dianasdesserts.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/recipes.categorylistings/categoryID/16/filter/dianas/CategoryListings.cfm
bake ginger cookies and decorate then, the’re quite easy to make. wrap them in cellaphane and put them in a basket with a cute tag. OR make a gift cd with photos and songs if you can’t do that then a regular photo album would be nice.
Gather a shoebox full of rocks from a stream that are round and white pearly colored. See if you have any glass jars that are cleaned out and clean on the outside. Next, pick flowers of all kinds and put them into the jar which is half filled with the white rocks, then fill the rest of it up with the white rocks but not smother the flowers. Then fill the jar up with water. Next, you can get some light blue paper and cut star shapes out of them. Write some encouraging words/ compliments on the stars and glue them onto the jar. There, that’s a gift money can’t buy.
Last year, I used sculpey clay to make santas. They were easy to make, and didn’t look cheap or homemade. I am sure you could find alot of ideas of things to make with polymer clay. Also, alot of people are suggesting food items, and here is another–chocolate covered pretzels. I did this 2 years ago and people loved it. I got little candy boxes and the meltable chocolate at a craft store.

Christmas cookies or homemade fudge. I love getting home made goodies. Pie or cake is good too.
